From playing on broken courts with a half-deflated ball to topping the elite leaderboard โ Priya shares her journey.
Priya Nair grew up in a building with no outdoor space. She learned to dribble in a hallway. Today she leads the women's elite division with a 94.2 ranking score.
"I never thought this could be competitive," she says. "I played because it was fun, not because I wanted trophies."
She signed up for her first BlackTop event on a dare from a teammate. She went 8-for-9 from the field that day.
Priya is coaching a junior girls' clinic starting in July. "Give them the court. Give them the ball. Watch what happens."
